Dori Weir
Hello Tall Tree Neighbors,

My name is Dori Weir.  May husband Michael and I have had our home in Tall Tree for 10 years. This past March we moved here full time after 37 years in Dallas and plano.  We have two grown children.  Our son lives in Plano, our daughter and son-in-law live in Oklahoma City.

My first career after college was working as an Adult Probation officer for Williamson County and then Collin County.  I stayed home after our children were born.  Starting in 2002, I worked for 19 years for a pediatric dental practice in Frisco, serving as Office Manager for the last 12 years before retiring in 2020.

Michael and I are excited to be int he community full-time and look forward to getting to know more of our neighbors.

Sincerely,

Dori Weir

I would like to express my interest in becoming an active member of the Tall Tree POA Board of Directors. The following is a little about our history with Tall Tree and my experience, which could be advantageous to my participation on the Board of Directors.
Our cabin in Tall Tree has provided our family a place to relax from our careers and life in the big city since we built in !983. Mary and I purchased our first lot at 196 San Saba Road in 1981. We have since acquired 3 additional lots for additions as our family grew. Our initial reasoning for the purchase was to provide a place for get aways, not knowing if we would be able to afford vacations every year.
Now our grandchildren are enjoying the environment. Of course, as with our children, sports, and other activities at home restrict the amount of time they are able to spend here. We do hear about, and have the notes left on the refrigerator of all the fun they have whenever they are able to enjoy the environment.
I read that some 70% of the homes on Lake Cypress Springs are not full-time residents. We are part of that percentage and will probably continue to be. Our home is in Richardson as it has been since 1980.
We appreciate all the efforts the Tall Tree POA has made over the years to keep the development in the best operating condition possible.
Yes, there are deficiencies and areas ripe for improvement. Beyond the obvious, I’m sure the Board has a list of what they include. Every time I went to the Board for guidance of how best to accomplish what we wanted to do on our property, or issues directly affecting our property, I found a team of people willing to find the best way forward.
My reason to become a member of the POA Board is to lend my experience in continuing that teamwork. Not being a full-time resident should minimally affect my attendance at the monthly meetings. With technology I’m sure there are ways to assist remotely. The monthly meeting will not be the only time I am at our cabin.
I am now fully retired from a career in commercial construction in the DFW Metroplex since 1976. I have been employed by general contractors and consultants. My career included leading teams of people of different disciplines and the executive ranks. Later I was able to utilize my expertise and what I enjoyed, to assist clients in building the best facility for the funds available. My responsibilities always included working with the design disciplines and the construction teams. That process wasn’t so much about the funds available, but how the people involved utilized those funds for the benefit of the project. Projects included warehouses, schools, office buildings, municipal facilities, federal courthouses and a few medical facilities.
Mary is a retired Clinical Dietician and Certified Diabetes Educator.
Both of us enjoy working with other people to find the best solutions for the advancement of Tall Tree.

 Cyndee Clouse

Hello, I'm Cyndee Clouse.   I've been a homeowner at Tall Tree for over 5 years.  Like many residents I've been improving my property throughout this time so have been involved with the Tall Tree permitting process and have hired many contractors.   As a resent retiree, I'm now a full-time resident so want to become more actively involved in our lovely community as a Tall Tree Board member.

With respect to me,  I grew up in North Dakota and have been a Texas resident for the last 15 years.   I worked as a chemical engineer for the last 35 years.   My career and background have provided me an opportunity to work with numerous regulatory agencies, many
different municipalities, large and small contractors and also provided me with great
collaboration skills.   With respect to my personality, I enjoy tackling messes and bringing clarity and resolution to things.   Since I was an engineer, I like to figure stuff out and don't mind investigating different avenues to make improvements.
